If you love to make birthday cards like I do, this planner box may be the reminder you need for sending out cards in 2022! Let me show you how to make this cute little box!
Supplies Needed
- 12×12 sheet of plain cardstock for box
- 12×12 sheet of patterned cardstock to decorate box
- (6) 8.5×11 sheets of white cardstock for dividers
- PDF of January thru December (click to open)
Note: Sample Card made with Recollections Birthday Stamp

The Box
Take the 12×12 plain sheet of cardstock and across the top score at 1″, 3 3/4″, 8 1/4″, and 11″. Then rotate 90 degrees to score at 6″ and 8 3/4″. Trim and glue as shown in video.

The Decorative Pieces
Cut your pattern paper for the sides of the box. The back piece is 4 1/4″ x 5 3/4″. The front piece is 4 1/4″ x 3″. Make two side pieces of 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. You will trim these pieces so the front pieces are only 3 3/8″ tall.

Month Dividers
Click to open the PDF at the top of this page. Print the PDF onto cardstock, single-sided. Cut in half to make a sheet for each month, cut at 4 1/4″. Fold each month in half, or you can make them a little taller by folding about the 18th mark. Just keep it below 6″. If you store your cards in the box, those will be 5 1/2″ tall. You may choose to glue to dividers together or simply fold them.
