Celebrate You Graduation Card

I needed to pop together a graduation card since we are heading out to the party! Do you wait to the last minute too? Here’s a few tips for quickly putting together a thoughtful card!

Step 1. Search for stamp!

I love to use Evernote as my stepping off point. I searched for “graduation” to find a stamp set for my sentiment. See my video about using Evernote for your stamp sets!

Step 2. 6×6 paper!

Next, I grab a stack of 6×6 paper in order to find an appealing background for my card. From this paper, I can select the colors that will give my card a put together feel!

There is a link below to the ArtBin paper holder. Very handy to store your loose 6×6 Stampin Up paper packs!

Step 3. Cut cardstock!

I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock, but any heavy cardstock will work for the card base. Cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score at 5 1/2″ mark. I fold my cards from the top down just for an unexpected surprise!

Step 4. Stamp!

I love to use my MISTI stamping positioner tool so that I can re-ink if necessary. And in this case, the solid word HAPPY needed a couple extra stampings. Is that a word? The balloons were solid stamps that may have needed to be re-stamped due to air bubbles under the large polymer stamp.

Step 5. Assemble!

Now we have all of our ingredients — card base, background paper, inked image with sentiment. I decided to add a layer of black cardstock to make the inked layer pop against the busy background paper. I think the quick card turned out great!

Happy Graduation Evan!
