Easy cards with Peaceful Poppies Suite

Today I sat down to make some cards using the Peaceful Poppies Suite from Stampin’ Up. The paper is so pretty and I thought I could use the dies too. Let’s see what I come up with!

Got out all my supplies! Scissors, paper trimmer, glue, tape runner, tweezers, VersaFine black ink, stamp positioner (MISTI), white embossing powder, versamark (clear glue for heat embossing), heat tool, Neenah white cardstock, and a stamp shammy.

I used standard card measurements for an A2 sized card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). Neenah white paper that is 110 lb weight, makes for a good card base, if you cut the 8 1/2″ x 11″ in half and score at 5 1/2″. It can open horizontally or landscape. I used a solid color to mat the poppies paper onto the card base, it’s sized at 4″ x 5 1/4″. The pretty papers are sized 3 3/4″ x 5″.

I love how the cards turned out. The paper is gorgeous. Easy to make into cards. I think you could apply this to any 6″ x 6″ paper pack. Use the paper as a background and decorate with some sentiment and some decoration, such as a flower.
