I could not wait to use this new die set from Divinity Designs. Watch along as I make a card for my brother’s upcoming birthday. See how it turns out!

Going into this project I wanted to determine if you needed the card base die set and if I loved the menswear paper pad. Here’s what I concluded:
I believe you could make the Fishing Vest without the card base. The card base requires the extended plates or a large die-cutting machine such as the Sizzix Big Shot Plus/Pro. The fishing vest has so many components that the card will be cute by itself on the front of a card.
As for the paper pack, I believe it’s a personal preference. I did not like that the paper was shiny but I did like the colors and patterns. I just think I could use any color of my own cardstock and an embossing folder to add texture.

I did not end up using the Menswear paper pack. It was not the style for the fishing vest. I used just plain cardstock and used embossing folders to add some texture.
