Get started making A2 cards

Someone recently asked me about what supplies she needed to make homemade cards. So I have created this handy list for those thinking about making homemade cards. I’ve learned what works and what to avoid. Let me show you!

I have been making cards since 2006. At first, I saw a demo by a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and fell in love with cardmaking. Have been hooked ever since! Cardmaking can quickly become overwhelming, so let me present the basics.

Measurements for A2-sized Cards

An 8.5 x 11-sized piece of cardstock, cut in half, is the perfect size for a standard A2-sized card base. It can be cut lengthwise or crosswise. Also, did you know that a 12×12 piece of paper cut into 6 pieces of 4×6 makes a great scrap to add color to your card? Simply trim to 4×5.25″ for a layer on your card base.
