SheetLoad of Cards | December 2022

It’s time for another SheetLoad of Cards from Crafty Al! This month she came up with a fancy diagonal look! Check out how these “Thinking of You” cards turned out!

Visit Crafty Al’s (Alicia) YouTube Channel for the December 2022 PDF for “SheetLoad of Cards”. It’s a creative system of cutting paper to make a batch of cards. So easy to create cards by pulling coordinating patterned paper from your stash and following her template!

My Process

Since I keep my tools near my desk, I am ready to create cards as soon as the next month’s SheetLoad comes out! I have my 12×12 paper stored in magazine holders made for scrapbook paper. The scrapbook paper is sorted by theme but I also have pretty paper in the Jillibean Soup, Echo Park, and Carta Bella bins!

Easy to find my paper stored by Theme

Once I picked my pretty patterned paper, I found coordinating solid cardstock for the layers of the card. I also decided to use blue paper for the sentiment. At first, I wanted to use the Pink & Main stamp “You’re the Best”, but I thought the smaller “Thinking of You” worked best.

It really helps to watch Crafty Al’s 2nd video of the month to see how to make the cards! At first, I glued down the diagonal piece with the border off the page. Notice the correct one in the background!

Here’s another mistake I made – I accidentally flipped the long and short layers around and glued the longer one at the top. Oops! I placed the sentiment at the top on that one!
