Portable 4×6 Photo Printers

My Canon Selphy printer started printing with a large white patch down the middle of the 4×6 photo. I looked for solutions online, but here’s what I finally decided to do!

Since I already had a carrying case and two ink/paper refills, I decided to stay with the Canon brand and get a newer Selphy. My original was the Selphy CP1200, this new one is a Selphy CP1300. Be careful of the models of the 1300, there’s a newer one that costs much more.

What’s the difference between Canon Selphy 1200 and 1300? The one upgrade from the CP1200 is the 3.2-inch non-touch color LCD screen, which has been upsized from 2.7 inches. The CP1300 measures 2.5 by 7 by 5.4 inches (HWD) and weighs 2.5 pounds with the cassette and ink cartridge loaded, or 3.1 pounds when you include the power adapter.

Portable 4×6 Photo Printers

Here’s the ratings and prices of the popular and highly rated portable photo printers for home use. I do recommend if you have a LOT of photos to print, it’s smart to upload and order from Walgreens, Walmart or Costco. I use my Selphy for a few photos at a time. It’s also handy to print smaller prints, for example (2) 2×3 wallet size. You can even print a collage of many photos.
