Creative Memories vs Hobby Lobby Haul

I love Creative Memories albums. But I love the Hobby Lobby page inserts. I’ve never found an album that holds up as well as the CM bookcloth design. But it can be expensive to buy the album and the pages and the protective sleeves. Here’s a great cost savings tip! Here’s my recent order of albums from Creative Memories. Love these covers. They are so well made. I’ve tried the Hobby Lobby cloth albums and they show dust and don’t come clean. The CM albums are almost like a plastic, wipe clean and stay like new.

The albums will hold 2 packs of pages or 32 pages. It might hold more, but I find that the book becomes to heavy to hold comfortably and flip thru your scrapbook pages.

That makes your total cost of the album and two packs of pages & sleeves be a grand total of $94.50 and that’s before the cost of printing your photos and adding embellishments!

While I totally love Creative Memories products, the best scrapbooking tools and products made, I just have to save money on the pages and sleeve covers!

When Creative Memories went out of business a few years back, I discovered Hobby Lobby carried page and sleeve protectors that fit my Creative Memories albums. I’m not sure where they got the design, because I am all for intellectual property protection, but they seem to be the same product. Maybe even produced by the same manufacturer?

So I watch for Hobby Lobby’s sale of their scrapbook supplies. If you not get them on sale at 50% off the savings is negligible. But on sale, it’s a cost savings of over 40% off the Creative Memories price. I’ll gladly save 40% off a $60 order for my scrapbook pages!
