Part 1: Our 12×12 Pages
- Creative Memories Album with 12×12 Pages
- Remove brads & buttons along with any thick elements
- Use non-sticky scanning mat with non-glare coversheet
- Can directly scan the old 11.5″ pages by turning sideways
Part 2: Scan N Cut Machine
- DX vs earlier models
- Connect to your home network and your CanvasWorkspace Account
- Press Cloud option vs. Scan to USB
- Import into CanvasWorkspace
- Increase % size of mat to 60 to 80% to fill the screen
- Screenshot using Windows PrintScreen buttons
- Save to USB for newer machines creates JPEG directly
Part 3: Turn Pages into a Movie
- Trim your screenshots using a photo editor
- Combine 2-page layouts into 1 image (perfect size for TV viewing)
- Optional: Name files by YEAR-MONTH-DAY EVENT format (ie, 20230409 Easter)
- Make a backup of your files, I recommend Snapfish
- Use Wondershare Filmora to create an MP4 home video by adding music to your scanned scrapbook pages
- Add a page-curl element to simulate flipping thru the album
Bonus: Windows 11 Crop Tip
- Recently upgraded to Windows 11 and found a quicker way to crop!
- After scanning and retrieving on your computer, hold down the WINDOWS and Printscreen keys
- Go to Pictures / Screenshots folder on your computer
- Right mouse click on screenshot, then select Open With / Photos
- Press the EDIT button above the picture (box with pencil)
- Now simply drag the white corners to the corners of your 12×12 layout
- Press SAVE and click on next arrow to quickly edit all your screenshots
