Scrapbook Pages | January 2023

I love to scrapbook. Since I tend to show a lot of card-making videos on my channel, I decided to include more scrapbooking layout ideas in 2023. Hope you enjoy it as I take you through my thought process of creating wonderful family memories!

In the video I mention a few items, these are listed below. If you have any questions, please comment on YouTube.

Colorful Layouts

You will notice my style is to use very colorful background papers. And since I want the photos to be the main ingredient, I tend to mat them on solid cardstock. I have a ton of scrapbook paper that I organize by themes to quickly pull the 12×12 paper during my process.

These layouts have been scanned using my Brother Scan N Cut. To learn about that process, watch my videos called “Turn Scrapbook Albums into Movies” and “Digitally capture your 12×12 layouts“.

For more information about the Mosaic Moments new template, watch my video called “What is up with Mosaic Moments grid template?“. It’s crazy that you can make your own lines on your paper. Did you know you can use your Brother Scan N Cut to draw the lines? Watch my video called “OMG Mosaic Moments using my ScanNCut!“.

Enjoy!

New Year’s Eve

I loved this bright stripe and heart paper from Close to My Heart (Smitten 2021) for this New Year’s Eve layout for my youngest son. He sends me photos so I can include in his album. Since the pink heart paper and striped paper were busy, I matted the pink with solid black cardstock along with the photos.

Broadway Shows

I used this pretty flower and striped paper because the dresses in the photos were pink, blue, and yellow. I used Mosaic Moments’ new template to draw the lines but you can also use your Brother Scan N Cut, see my video to learn more!

Trip to Florida after Hurricane Ian

Again, love patterned paper for the background. I knew I wanted the left page to show the hurricane damage. I matted on beige and carried the beige across to the right page. Also used the bar strip on the bottom of the fern paper (it only goes from edge to under photos). Then I matted the four photos on the right-hand page with bright green cardstock.

Horse Show in Tennessee

Love this wood-grain paper for this Horse Show layout. The paper is from Simple Stories called “We are Family” 2015.

Happy Birthday

This birthday paper is from Close to My Heart called “Confetti Wishes” 2014. Love the polka dots and the colors that pop. Matted the family photos since the paper is busy.

Happy Anniversary

Since I didn’t have a lot of photos from our birthday outtings, I decided to make one layout for our Anniversary and birthdays. Made sure I captured everyone’s photo at the party. Ran out of letters for the title, but I turned the P’s into R’s and the F into a P by getting creative.

Scrapbook Event

Call me crazy, but I have a scrapbook album of my cropping events with girlfriends. This layout is from a crop in November. I used a grid look on this layout so that I could include a bunch of photos.

Thanksgiving

Love this fall paper from Close to My Heart called “Grateful Heart” 2018. Used a wide strip on the left and the remainder on the right side. The pack included a sheet with 4×6 and 3×4 sentiment cards.

Christmas

I still need to scrapbook the pictures of family opening their presents, but I managed to get this holiday decorations page completed. Notice that I matted the busy pine cone paper with red to add dimension from the green paper.

Halloween

This old halloween paper from Simple Stories (Frankie and Friends 2014) with polka dots and stripes made for a cute layout. Added stickers to complete the page. Might add a couple more 4×4 photos!

Foyer Remodel

Finally, on this remodel page, I included before and after photos and several of Steve working on the project. I knew I wanted to use the orange and brown 6×8 pieces to set off the photos. I like the red paper on the left and right edges of the layout too.
