We’re pretty well moved in and the cabin feels like home now. I just took a minute to make an updated video to show how the room is coming along. It’s feels like a workable space now!
For those of you along for journey, I can’t thank you enough for the kinds words of encouragement. Many of you asked, what are you doing?!? This is crazy! But we are so happy. It’s a wonderfully exciting time in our life. Family is coming over this weekend for the Easter holiday and we’re so excited to show the cabin to everyone.
There’s still stuff to unpack. I think this is unending. We have some our of artwork hanging up now. Trying to find the right spot for everything. I have a collection of old cameras that I want to display. I remind myself that this takes time. Plus, as you live here, you decide how you are going to use the space. So some decisions of where to put stuff are waiting.
My craft area has the following sections that work for me:
- Ikea Kallax units on their side so I can have my electronic cutters plugged in a ready for use; and my Big Shot and dies are handy
- Basket and containers hold like items, such as card envelopes, small tools, stickers, stamps and Cricut tools
- Ikea Raskogs hold inks, pens, ephemera, project life cards, tape refills, etc.
- Fewer items on my desk allow for plenty of working room and open the view out of the window!
