Top-10 Tools
1. Photo Trimmer
Scrapbookers often trim their photos to fit more on a page. This technique is also handy for removing “noise” from the picture. Your layout should tell the story, so include the right number of photos. Be sure to mat that one special photo to make it stand out on your page.
It’s important to have a separate trimmer for photos. Photos paper contains ink, which will quickly tear apart your trimmer’s blades. A guillotine blade will last much longer. This is a scrapbooker’s most important tool!

2. A 12-inch Trimmer with blades
For cutting your 12×12 scrapbook paper, you will need a paper trimmer. The Creative Memories 12-inch trimmer has a long-lasting rotary blade for precise cuts. Why not add to your collection using the fun cut blades?!?

3. Multi-Purpose Tool

Believe it or not, the Multi-Purpose Tool is one of my most used tools! The pointed end is handy for moving parts into place. The flat end is great for sliding under photos to remove and reposition onto your layout. I’ve even used it to line up my title letters by sticking them to the flat side and positioning them on my page.
4. Memory Mate Case
Okay, these Memory Mate Cases are the perfect size for storing your glue, scissors, pop-dots, foam squares, etc. I have two and use them often for adhesives, and markers, and even to hold the circles, ovals, and gems for your cutting system mentioned below.

5. Cutting System with Mats, Circles, Blades
This fantastic cutting system is still around! The mat now comes in a 13×13 inch size but the circles, ovals, gemstones, and rectangles are the same. Oh, the blades swivel now too.
There is a giant circle too which is a must-have to create a quick background shape.
The mat is an excellent tool when putting together your layouts. Keeps sticky mess off your craft table plus you can line up strips of patterned paper or journaling blocks. An extra mat is just $15.00 so you can do a 2-page layout!

6. Crop Caddy
This is new to Creative Memories in 2024. I had a little old red one and I replaced it with this. It measures 7x7x6.25 inches which makes it the perfect size for on-the-go-crops or at home on your craft table. It spins for easy access to all sides and it wipes clean. Love it!

7. Photo Storage Boxes
If you have photos stores in old shoe boxes, I recommend this storage solution. This plastic box comes in solid black and the new rainbow dots. And will hold a ton of photos. Use a pencil to label the tabs so you can use them over and over again. Lid stays on tight.

8. POD Organizer Insert
We are also on the hunt for 12×12 inch paper storage solutions. This one from Creative Memories is called a “POD Organizer Insert” and it can be used by itself or inside the POD Large Tote. The sturdy handles on each side allow you to conveniently pick up your paper. Oh, it folds flat too!

9. Corner Rounder
I have used my corner rounder from Creative Memories for years! It’s very easy to use and includes a little pocket that catches the punched out part. Now they have a new one that includes an outside punch that creates a notch. How fun!

10. Dual Tipped Pens/Markers
I used my Creative Memories pens for years and they lasted forever. However, I like the new dual-tip pen/markers. They are thin on one side and fat on the other end. They come in a rainbow set of colors.
